Simply having a large sum of cash is no longer grounds for civil asset forfeiture in TN. This bill provides additional protections to innocent third-party property owners by allowing them to testify on behalf of their property, adding notice requirements for the seizing authority, and attorney fee reimbursement for improper seizures.
